Jeff Gerencser is the CEO and Founder of Ace Pilot Academy
Ace Pilot Academy, a premier aviation training organization dedicated to developing skilled, confident, and safety-minded pilots. With over three decades in aviation, Jeff brings unmatched expertise, leadership, and passion to every aspect of pilot training—shaping the next generation of aviators through top-quality instruction, innovative programs, and a culture of excellence.
A proud U.S. Navy Veteran, Jeff began his aviation career in military service, where he developed the discipline, precision, and safety mindset that continue to define his work. As a professional pilot, instructor, and FAA Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE), he has trained pilots from first solo through advanced multi-engine operations, earning a reputation for fairness, professionalism, and real-world expertise.
Through Ace Pilot Academy, Jeff blends his military background with extensive civilian flight experience to deliver focused, results-driven training programs. His mission is straightforward: train pilots the right way—building skill, confidence, and lasting safety habits.
Daniel Vest ATP | CFI | CFII | MEI | CSIP | Multi-Engine & Turbine Specialist
With more than 4,500 total flight hours, including 2,062 hours of multi-engine time and 1,370 hours in turbine aircraft, Daniel Vest brings airline-level professionalism to every training flight. He has given over 2,800 hours of dual instruction, helping pilots advance quickly and confidently through complex ratings.
Daniel holds type ratings in the A320, BE-400, LR-JET, and MU-300, and is certificated as an Airline Transport Pilot, Flight Instructor (CFI/CFII/MEI), and Cirrus Standardized Instructor Pilot (CSIP)—a distinction held by only a select group of instructors worldwide.
Raised in Amarillo, Texas, Daniel earned a Bachelor of Science in Aviation from The University of Oklahoma, and has flown extensively throughout North America, including Mexico and Canada, as well as countless hours in the Phoenix metro training environment—one of the busiest and most demanding airspace regions in the country.

Born and raised in Florida, I bring years of full-time flight experience and a deep passion for aviation to every lesson. My journey to the skies began after a successful career in professional baseball, which first brought me out to the Southwest skies I now call home.
As a certified Multi-Engine Instructor, I specialize in Commercial multi-engine add-ons, MEI certifications, and multi-engine time building. Whether you're just stepping into multi-engine flying or looking to refine your skills, I’m here to guide you with real-world experience, high standards, and a love for teaching.
